Lighthouse Bikes, an addition to Sonoma Lighthouse Christian Church, was first introduced to Petaluma City Schools and Mentor Me as an Innovative Project Based Mentoring Program in January of 2014.
We introduce each young bright individual with an opportunity of assisting them in building their very own Custom Beach Cruiser Bicycle. By agreeing to venture into the new discovery for unleashing their true hidden talents and passions.
Our students agree to the terms and conditions of learning to use all the valuable trade skills involved during this process and commitment to do better in school and life.

- Art
- Math
- Engineering
- Welding
- Sheet Metal Fabrication
- Auto Mechanics
- Carpentry
- Auto Body Surface Preparation
- Automotive Custom Painting Design & Application.
Along with gaining valuable hands-on trade skills while building a unique custom beach cruiser bicycle, our students also develop essential life skills such as discipline, teamwork, organizational abilities, self-empowerment, a sense of accomplishment, proper vocabulary usage, appropriate workplace attire, and strong moral and ethical behavior.
On average, our students spend at least 150-800 hours of dedicated time building something unique in preparation to a brighter future ahead.
